Barbara Patton

Barbara Patton is president of the Community Foundation of East Alabama, Inc., which works with individuals, families, corporations, private foundations, and
nonprofit organizations in carrying out their charitable objectives and addressing emerging community issues. She formerly served as executive director of
Envision Opelika, a citizen-driven planning effort for improving the quality of life in the city, and as president of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce. Patton
was mayor of Opelika from 1996 to 2004, a time when the community saw significant economic growth and improvements to its infrastructure, and she is a small business owner.
Patton joined the ADAH Board of Trustees in 2018. She has provided volunteer leadership to Opelika Main Street and received honorific recognition from the Opelika business
community and the local councils of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
